Meet the Blogger!

My name is Kasey Gamble and I am a future educator! I am currently a student in the Teacher Education Program at Jacksonville State University. I am in my final semester of the education program, known as my internship. In this semester, I have the opportunity of being full time in a kindergarten classroom. I decided to pursue an education degree because of my love of children and passion for learning. I hope to be an innovative, energetic teacher with an organized, invigorating classroom! What does "Teaching Turns" mean?

I chose the name "Teaching Turns" for multiple reasons. First of all, I want to point my students in the right direction. Along with teaching standards and helping my students reach required benchmarks, I also want to make a connection with them. I hope to "turn" their lives around and give them the guidance they need to be the best versions of themselves possible. I also chose to play off of the phrase "taking turns". As a teacher, I am a lifetime learner. While it is expected for me to teach my students every day, many people don't realize that my students will also teach me every day. My students and I will "take turns" teaching each other and together, we will grow as learners.
